Ira Glass Philadelphia Theatre reviews
Memories from a long time ago
"The show, the symphony and the music they played was incredible and amazing. It brought back memories from when I was a young boy and I first saw Star Wars. As for the ad stated laser light show, it was a lot of Star Wars costumes encased in glass. There was Chewbaca, C3PO, Hans Frozen in the slab but there was no R2D2, no Princess Leiah, no Bobba Fett, no X wing fighter or any other aircrafts and the arena had enough room for many more displays. We had to walk a while to get to the other displays since they were so spaced apart.
The narrative was great and funny. As for the laser show, it came after the 20 minute intermission and lasted for one song and it was only green light, then it came back on sporadically during the rest of the show. The choir was awesome, they gave you chills when they sang. They did not sing any words just different notes, which was spooky but awesome.
I would recommend this show for the music only, as for the other stuff, the company needs to stop hyping the behind the scenes and displays because it was a little disappointing and yes, I had to use my memory to fill in the spots that were missing."
